Smarting from a loss against the Dallas Mavericks, the Clippers produced an excellent display to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies 114-110 and round off their three-game road trip 2-1. Norman Powell scored 29 points to lead the Clippers for the third straight game. He has scored at least 28 points in four consecutive games and led both teams against the Grizzlies. Powell scored in the final seconds in an inspired performance to give his team the lead. Losing three consecutive games early in the month was tough but the team has learned to live with adversity flourishing without Kawhi Leonard, with players like James Harden showing up big. The LA Clippers are in the first of the play-in places at number seven seed. 

Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors vs. LA Lakers matchup was marketed as a Lebron James vs. Steph Curry contest and it lived up to its billing. Both men scored a combined total of 61 points with Steph Curry almost winning it at the death before Austin Reeves sank the hopes of the Warriors' fanbase to give the Lakers a 115-113 victory at the Chase Center. Now the Warriors have to face the Clippers without Steph Curry and Gary Payton II as Coach Steve Kerr continues to manage his creaky stars. Curry, who played 36 minutes against the Lakers, has knee pain and his coach has spoken about managing his game time. This is a tough decision for the coaching crew as the Warriors have lost 11 of their last 14 and slid down from 2nd to 10th in the standings.
