Jiri Prochazka
Jiri Prochazka hasn’t lost to anyone other than Alex Pereira in a long time. His last loss to someone other than ‘Poatan’ was a 2015 setback against Muhammed Lawal in the Rizin Heavyweight Grand Prix. The former Rizin light heavyweight king won the UFC light heavyweight title in his third fight in the promotion with a submission of Glover Teixeira in 2022. Prochazka then vacated the title due to injury without making a defense. When he returned the following year, he mounted a failed bid to regain the title, losing by TKO in the second round of the championship bout with Pereira. Prochazka rebounded with a victory over Alexsander Rakic last April but ultimately failed to top Pereira in a rematch in June at UFC 303. The 32-year-old was stopped again in the second round by the Brazilian.

Jamahal Hill
Jamahal Hill became the UFC light heavyweight champion after Prochazka vacated the title. Like his Czech opponent, Hill defeated Glover Teixeira to claim the 205 gold but vacated, too, after injuring his Achilles. Alex Pereira stopped the American with a first-round KO in April 2023 in a failed bid by Hill to regain his former title. Before the injuries, Jamahal Hill and Jiri Prochazka were getting ready to fight, even exchanging messages on social media. Now “Sweet Dreams,” the first Dana White alum to become undisputed champion, will get another title shot if he overcomes the Czech challenger.
