Two resurgent teams in the lower rungs of the Western Conference standings clash at the Chase Center when the Golden State (18-16) continue their six-game home stand with the visit of the Sacramento Kings (16-19). The Warriors have won three of their last four after a dreadful 3-12 run and now sit on the number 8 seed in the West. The Kings are still outside the play-in places but have won three on the spin and are hoping to take advantage of the injury crisis for their hosts. Stephen Curry sat out last time with tendinitis in his knee but is expected to start for the Golden State Warriors, the money-line favorites.

Golden State Warriors
Head Coach Steve Kerr revealed that the franchise keeps all options open, with the trade window still open for another month as the Warriors roster is depleted with injuries. Kerr continues to manage the game time of veterans Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, Gary Payton II is out with a calf injury, Brandin Podzienski has abdominal tightness, and against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, young guard Jonathan Kuminga joined the injury list when he turned his ankle in the second quarter and is now expected to be out for a long stretch. The Warriors beat the Grizzlies 121-113 to win consecutive games and three out of four on Saturday. Andrew Wiggins led them with 24 points, Dennis Schroder added 17, and Lindy Waters III chipped in with 16 points as the Warriors won without Steph Curry. Schroder brought in a trade in mid-December and made nine of the Warriors’ 32 assists.
I think with Dennis in the mix now, we have a chance to really be a great defensive team again. Like we were early in the year. And if we can put it together, then we may not need to do anything (trade-wise). But we definitely need to take this next month and really see what we have.
Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings have won their past three games following a run of three straight losses. The resurgent Kings took advantage of a three-game homestand to improve to 16-19 with wins over the Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers and a 138-133 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday evening. Malik Monk led the Kings with 31 points, DeMar DeRozan added 29, and De’Aaron Fox chipped in with 25 points. The Kings led at halftime and after three quarters. The Grizzlies surged past them with minutes to play in the fourth, but the Kings had a 20-10 run to retake the advantage and hold out for the win.
