Romero made his professional debut in 2016 and has gone16 fights undefeated with 12 coming by way of knockouts. After revealing via his Instagram that no charges were filed against him following the sexual assault allegations that led to the pulling of the original fight date with Davis, the WBA ordered that Davis must make a mandatory title challenge against him.
