Undefeated American champion Shakur Stevenson continues his quest for greatness when he aims to become a three-weight champion this Thursday in Las Vegas against Edwin De Los Santos in their fight for the vacant WBC Lightweight title. 2016 Olympic silver medalist Stevenson formerly held the WBO Featherweight strap, the WBO super featherweight, and the WBC super featherweight titles—the pair contest for the WBC Lightweight strap vacated by Devin Haney in a 12-round bout. With contender Frank Martin refusing to fight Shakur, Edwin De Los Santos stepped up for the clash.

Shakur Stevenson
Following a silver medal in Bantamweight at the 2016 Olympic Games, Shakur Stevenson turned professional in 2017. The southpaw has remained unbeaten in twenty professional fights, with a 50% knockout rate. The 26-year-old has developed a fearsome reputation that makes opponents routinely duck out of fights with him, with the latest being number two Lightweight contender Frank Martin. Stevenson moved to Lightweight after struggling to make weight at 130 pounds (ca. 59 kg). He was stripped of his Featherweight titles after failing to make weight in his title defense against Robson Conceicao.
