In the third game of the Western Quarter Finals, the Denver Nuggets will host the Golden State Warriors. The game will be held on 22 April at 05:00 AM (+3 UTC). The Warriors have a two-nil lead in the series and their first two wins were by a big margin as the Warriors guard gave no chance to the Nuggets. Can the Nuggets recover some rhythm in this game as the series heads to their home floor?
Bet on Denver Nuggets - Golden State WarriorsBest bets on Nuggets vs Warriors
Total: Bookmakers from 22bet suggest that Total Over/Under 224 has the odds of 1.90. The first two games brought 230 points so there is a chance that this mark will be hit again. However, I see a defensive-oriented game here so this can be a below 220 points battle. I see the total going “Under” here. (Total Under 224 for 1.90)
Player Props: Bookmakers at bet365 predict odds of 1.86 for Andrew Wiggins going Over 15.5 Points here(At least 16 points). Wiggins is rather the fourth option on the scoring end but he has the ability to get close to 20 during many nights. Andrew Wiggins has scored 13, 16 in the last two games. I believe he will score at least 17 here so I’ll go “Over” here.. (Player Props: Player Points: Andrew Wiggins Over 15.5)
Handicap: Bookmakers at 1xbet give the Warriors an edge over the Nuggets which is understandable after the drubbing in the first two games. The handicap in their favor is slated at -2.5 which is a bit lower considering they are playing away from home. However, I see them raiding the Nuggets in the third quarter and winning by at least 10 points here. I’ll take a handicap of -6.5 to be on the safe side that has the odds of 2.55. (Handicap 1 -6.5)
Where to Watch Nuggets vs Warriors
This game is available on the NBA League Pass.
Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets have scored 107 and 106 in the first two games respectively which is a decent number but their defense especially from the three-point line has fallen flat. They gave up 17 triples in the last game as the Warriors converted 42.5% of their attempts from beyond the arc. Overall, the Warriors shot 54% and the Nuggets have had no answer on the defensive end so far. Jokic has shot below 50% in the first two games, while Aaron Gordon, the team’s second-highest scorer has not even reached 10 points. Barton had a strong Game 1 but didn’t fire in the second game, a theme that has been regular throughout the season. The Nuggets gave up 44 in the third quarter during the last game and Stephen Curry decimated their defense.
Golden State Warriors
As expected from the current unit of the Warriors, their season is back on track. Draymond Green has improved the defensive end for the Warriors and he has been a huge rebounding presence as well while providing elite playmaking. The Warriors have gotten it going from the three-point line and that is a dangerous sign for the Nuggets which can end up draining in this game. One other area where the Warriors have been successful is containing both Jokic and Gordon. Jokic has been putting his usual numbers more or less but he wasn't able to will the Nuggets ahead, especially in the second half. Monte Morris and Aaron Gordon will both need to be more aggressive in this game.
