Expect fireworks in the late prelim of UFC 293 when two knockout specialists collide in the Octagon in a Light heavyweight bout. New Zealand striker Carlos Ulberg will hope to continue his smooth ride in the UFC when he faces South Korean Jung Da-un. The Korean must return to the win column, as he has dropped his last two. Carlos Ulberg
Following a telling first-round knockout of Bruno Oliveira at DWCS 34 to earn a UFC contract, Carlos Ulberg lost his promotional debut, suffering a knockout loss to Kennedy Nzechukwu. Despite a flurry of first-round strikes, the New Zealander tired out in the second round and ultimately professionally lost for the first time. The former amateur Rugby player and professional kickboxer reeled out four consecutive victories with three first-round knockouts. His last visit to the Octagon earned him a Performance of the Night award following a TKO of Ihor Potieria last May.

Jung Da-un
The South Korean made a great start to his UFC career with a 4-0-1 record in his first five fights. A standing guillotine choke of Khadis Ibragimov in his August 2019 debut was followed by wins over Mike Rodriguez, William Knight, and Kennedy Nzechukwu. A draw with Sam Avery was sandwiched between the wins. Since his November 2021 KO of Nzechukwu, the slugger has fought only twice, losing to Dustin Jacoby last year and Devin Clark last February.
