ZTE India has expanded its new Indian Engineering Centre in Delhi to meet the increasing demand for engineering services in the local market.
The company said it increased its headcount in India by more than 1,000 employees nationwide, including 100 in Delhi alone. Over 90% of the company's staff are locals.
The expanded office will be the main hub for ZTE India's engineering team.
ZTE India added that it will also expand its Bangalore facility, which provides telecom and engineering training services.
Commenting on India's informal ban on Chinese telecom equipment imports, ZTE India chairman DK Ghosh said that “with discussion and communication with the government, we are sure that we will be given a proper solution.”
