Hong Kong, October 6, 2011 - Telecom Asia has opened voting for its fourth Readers’ Choice Awards to its online subscriber base of service providers across Asia. Voting for Asia’s best technology providers will close on October 24.
A total of 45 companies were nominated in 21 categories -- ranging from Best Telecom Vendor of the Year to LTE Innovation of the Year to Video Platform Vendor of the Year. Leading the list of nominees this year with nomination in at least five categories were Huawei Technologies, Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia Siemens Networks, ZTE and Cisco Systems.
The winners will be announced at the Readers' Choice Award ceremony in Singapore on December 1. Telecom Asia organizes the awards each year to recognize the technology innovations and accomplishments of the top telecom vendors operating in Asia Pacific.
Nominations were open to analysts, consultants and telco executives in September. More than 60 telecom insiders submitted some 520 nominations. Telecom Asia’s editorial team narrowed down the list of nominations in each of the categories after consulting with a team analysts.
In additional to the Readers’ Choice Awards, Telecom Asia will also announce Special Editor Recognition Awards at the ceremony in up to six categories.
