Klausner Technologies sued Internet phone company Vonage Holdings for alleged patent infringement, seeking damages and royalties it said were worth $180 million, a Reuters report said.

The Reuters report said Klausner's patent in question was used in Vonage's voicemail services. It recently granted a license under the same patent to Time Warner subsidiary AOL, it said.

Vonage has also been hit by a lawsuit by Verizon Communications, and its shares are now less than half of its May initial public offering price of $17 as investors also worry about increasing competition from cable and Internet rivals, the report further said.
