German railway operator Deutsche Bahn and banking giant Deutsche Bank plan to sell their stakes in fixed line telecoms specialist Arcor to majority shareholder Vodafone, an AFP report said.
The AFP report, quoting sources, said Vodafone already holds 74% of Arcor and hopes to integrate the unit into its mobile phone activities in Germany, Vodafone D2, from the autumn.
The AFP report however said a spokesman for Vodafone D2 denied the information, while both Deutsche Bahn and Deutsche Bank declined to comment.
Deutsche Bahn owns18 % of Arcor and Deutsche Bank holds a stake of eight %.
The industry source said the two stakes could be worth around 600 million euros ($758 million).
