ViaSat Inc. has been awarded an additional order valued at approximately $8.7 million for Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) terminals from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) in San Diego.

The order augments the $39.5-million Lot 7 delivery order announced on July 6, received by ViaSat as part of the MIDS annual Lot procurements. The Lot 7 add-on consists primarily of LVT(2) ground-based Low Volume Terminals and spares, along with LVT(4) and LVT(6) airborne terminals.

ViaSat has also secured an order valued at just over $2.2 million for MIDS terminals from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division. This order is for LVT(2) ground-based Low Volume Terminals and support equipment.
