(Bangkok Post via NewsEdge) TOT introduced its first bundled service package to compete with other operators' Internet access and wireless services.

The 'Call Free, Net Free' package combines TOT's fixed-line, Internet and international call services for fixed monthly fees, starting from 350 baht ($9.3) to 999 baht ($26.6).

TOT chief marketing officer Adit Harinasut said the firm expects 30,000 to 40,000 new customers, generating 300 million baht ($8 million) until the promotion finishes at the end of next month.

The bundled service package is expected to help TOT better compete with wireless services provided by mobile phone operators and VoIP, which is rapidly gaining popularity with consumers.

The service will allow subscribers to make free calls, free Internet access, and free fixed-line-to-mobile-phone calls during designated hours.

Adit said the package would not affect the state enterprise's revenue.

He also said it would not result in defectors from the Bangkok provider True, which operates under a TOT concession, because the offer was only for a limited period.

A second bundled package is expected to be introduced in the next few months.

Currently TOT has 3.8 million fixed-line and 200,000 broadband Internet customers.
