Telstra is the largest provider of both local and long distance telephone services, mobile services, dialup, wireless, DSL and cable internet access in Australia. At the end of June 2010 the company had 8.6 million fixed line and 10.6 million mobile subscribers, including 8.2 million 3G subscribers.
