Telkom, Measat enter partnership

(RDSL via NewsEdge) Indonesian telco Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) and Malaysian satellite operator Measat Satellite Systems have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop their respective satellite businesses.

Under the MOU, the two companies will pursue the joint marketing of satellite capacity and the joint development of an expanded portfolio of value added services. They will also share operational experience and improve the connectivity between their satellite and fiber optic networks.

They will also explore opportunities for the joint development of new satellites to meet future satellite capacity requirements.
