SK Telecom names Jang Dong-hyun president and CEO
SK Telecom has appointed Jang Dong-hyun as its new president and CEO.
Jang joined SK Telecom in 2000 and has served various key positions, including head of strategic planning division and head of marketing division.
In January Jang took over the position of COO at SK Planet, the wholly-owned subsidiary of SK Telecom.
With his over 23 years of experience in the telecom industry, Jang is expected to steer the company to sustained growth amidst rapidly changing market conditions by focusing on its core strength as a network operator and developing new businesses , the Korean mobile carrier said in a statement.
Nokia appoints Ray Owen as head of ANZ, Andrew Cope head of Korea
Nokia Networks has appointed Ray Owen as head of Australia and New Zealand to manage the vendor’s sales and operations across the region.
Previously, Owen was heading sales development in the Asia Pacific region for the company. He will report to Paul Tyler, senior vice president of Asia Pacific at Nokia Networks.
Separately Nokia has appointed Andrew Cope as head of Korea to manage and oversee the company’s sales and operations in the country.
Cope has joined Nokia for 15 years and was most recently head of sales development for countries including Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam categorized as Asia North.
