Intelsat appoints Jacques Kerrest as CFO

Jacques Kerrest has joined global satellite service provider Intelsat as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Kerrest, who assumed his new role on February 1, reports to Intelsat chief executive officer Stephen Spengler.

Spengler said Kerrest’s deep financial expertise in the telecoms and media sectors will provide new perspectives within the company’s management team.

“I have confidence that his financial acumen, corporate finance background and sector knowledge will play an instrumental role in shaping our financial priorities and in the attainment of our operational and long-term strategic goals,” Spengler said in a statement.

Kerrest joins Intelsat from DPC Data, where he served as president and led the company’s efforts in providing disclosure-related data products and specialized data services to the municipal bond marketplace in US.

Prior to DPC Data, Kerrest was CFO and COO at ActivIdentity Corporation (known today as HID Global). His experience also includes CFO roles at Virgin Media, Equant, and Chancellor Broadcasting.

Khaykin, who assumed his new roles on February 3, brings to the table more than 28 years of industry experience.

Prior to joining Viavi, he was a senior advisor with Silver Lake Partners. Before that, Khaykin was president and CEO of International Rectifier from 2008 until its acquisition by Infineon in 2015. PCCW-owned video on demand service Vuclip has appointed Kingsley Warner as general manager for Malaysia, in addition to his current role of head of content for Southeast Asia.

The appointment comes as Vuclip prepares to launch ‘Viu’, its OTT video streaming service, in Malaysia.

In this expanded role, Warner will oversee the overall operations and strategic direction of the Viu brand.

Warner has been working with Vuclip for more than two years as head of Southeast Asia head. Prior to joining Vuclip, he had worked as a media executive with the Astro Malaysia Group, and in other senior roles at Fox Sports, News Digital Media and Foxtel.
