Tata Communications was awarded APAC Service Provider of the Year in the latest MEF Carrier Ethernet Service Provider Awards held last December.
Tata also bagged the “Best Business Ethernet Service” award for retail and enterprise services aside from being finalist for two other awards, contributing to its getting the top prize.
Telekom Malaysia copped the “Best Wholesale Ethernet Service” award for applications for mobile backhaul, data center and provider interconnects.
Philippines-based PLDT won the “Best Marketing” award for its “We’re changing lives” campaign.
Also, SingTel was given the “Regional Service Provider of the Year” award while Verizon beat AT&T and Level 3 for the Global Service Provider Award.
