India's Tata Comm has partnered with video transmission company Hibernia Mediato develop a global media services solution.

Under the deal, the brands will share each others' networks to deliver video and other services to their customers.

The agreement means Tata Comm now connects to over 125 media venues across the Americas to enable content delivery. Hibernia meanwhile has access to Tata's 12 global Video Connect nodes.

The pre-connected venues include major teleports, cable and satellite TV head ends, sporting venues, broadcasters and news outlets, the companies said.

The companies also aim to create a single communications channel for their customers to streamline content negotiations.

“This alliance opens the door for owners of content around the world, whether in Asia, the Middle East, or Africa, to more effectively reach the consumers in the Americas... and acquire content in the Americas for global distribution," Hibernia president Delwin Bothof said.
