Tata Comm has expanded its presence in Russia, setting up a local PoP in Moscow.

The Indian operator, which owns an extensive sub-sea cable network, said it was already delivering services to over 100 service providers in Russia and the CIS.

But Tata Comm has set its sights on the region, where demand for telecom services is growing strongly.

As part of its expansion plans, Tata has signed a partnership agreement with Kazakh Telecom to allow it to connect the cities of Moscow, Astana and Almaty to its telepresence public room network.
