VNL has launched WorldGSM, the world\'s first zero-opex, solar-powered GSM system.
The complete end-to-end GSM system is specifically developed to help mobile operators profitably reach rural markets where ARPUs are less than $2 a month.
The system\'s base stations are entirely solar-powered and typically need only around 50W of power. The WorldGSM Village Site is self-deployed and easily assembled in half a day, even by non-engineers. WorldGSM is entirely compatible with standard GSM networks and handsets.
