(Xinhua via NewsEdge) Singapore's telecom giant SingTel has launched a new integrated service that combines mobile, fixed line and wireless broadband access on one box.

According to a Channel News Asia report, the multiple services called "Generation more-in-one (MIO)" will transform the ordinary phone line into an integrated super highway.

Through the box, for instance, users can access broadband Internet services or make high-quality VoIP calls via the fixed phone lines.

Users can also enjoy savings of up to 30% under a consolidation of the fixed line, mobile and broadband services on one bill.

SingTel said that the Generation MIO will enable it to roll out next generation integrated digital services like pay-TV, home security and other remote monitoring services.
