SingTel has announced the launch of cloud computing service PowerON Compute in Hong Kong.
PowerON Compute is SingTel’s cloud solution which provides on-demand ICT solutions and services.
As with the PowerON Compute cloud services in Singapore and Australia, PowerON Compute Hong Kong is a hybrid enterprise-class cloud service which provides computing resources that can be accessed by either a public internet connection or through a private secured network.
SingTel claims PowerON Compute Hong Kong allows enterprises to easily scale up or down their usage of computing resources. Enterprises pay a monthly subscription fee to use the service.
The launch of PowerON Compute Hong Kong is part of SingTel’s initiative to roll out a federated cloud network linking Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong in the third quarter of 2012. With data centers in Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong, the federated cloud network will enlarge SingTel’s cloud footprint in Asia Pacific.
