Satellite Security Systems (S3) and Blue Bird have unveiled the GPS and sensor-enabled SecureBus feature for GlobalGuard, which it claims is a first of its kind for the school bus market.

The companies say the SecureBus feature maximizes peace of mind for school officials by leveraging cutting edge technology with specialized 24/7 services.

By combining the GlobalGuard GPS and wireless communication solution with sensors integrated throughout the bus, the SecureBus is monitored in real-time by S3's 24-hour, 7-day-a-week monitoring center in San Diego, California.

GlobalGuard and the SecureBus feature provide continual surveillance and communication with the bus as well as an emergency button directly linking to the 24/7 Monitoring Center.
