India's S Tel has contracted Intec to deploy its BSS solutions for the fledgling operator.
S Tel, a joint venture between Siva Group and Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco), plans to launch services in the markets of Orissa, Bihar & Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and North East.
The company will deploy Intec's solutions across all its markets, Intec said.
S Tel CEO Shamik Das said it partnered with Intec because in the saturated Indian market, quality of customer service is now seen as a significant differentiator.
“We have therefore chosen Intec’s convergent BSS solutions so we can place customers at the centre of our business,” he said.
