This milestone announcement follows PLDT’s recent membership in the Open Data Platform (ODP), a worldwide consortium of Big Data global technology leaders that aims to standardize the core platform and accelerate big data delivery across markets. PLDT is the pioneer ASEAN company in the ODP which has a membership of multinational companies including GE, Hortonworks, IBM, Infosys, Pivotal, SAS, and VMWare among others.
It also follows PLDT's decision in March to set up a Center of Excellence for big data in the ASEAN region.
