A bungling thief was captured when the iPhone he stole automatically uploaded pictures to the owner's social media pages.
The villain, nicknamed Nelson by the phone's owner, stole the device on-board the cruise ship he worked on. He was traced after not realizing every snap taken on the smartphone was being automatically uploaded to owner Katy McCaffrey's iCloud account.
McCaffrey also posted the pictures on Facebook in a bid to trace the thief, who has since been suspended by the cruise line involved.
