After getting a new CEO in July, regional cable operator Pacnet is now switching out more of its management team.
The operator today announced the appointment of three new senior executives – a new CTO, as well as heads of managed services and enterprise markets.
Stepping into the CTO role is Andy Lumsden, a former Pacnet employee who most recently served as managing director for APAC at Xtera Communications.
Jim Fagan, former Rackspace managing director, will take the role of president of managed services. Former EarthLink marketing executive Cardi Prinzi will meanwhile become president of enterprise markets.
Pacnet said the new hires form part of a strategic plan from CEO Carl Grivner, which also involves the recruitment of “several” more industry experts.
Grivner was appointed Pacnet CEO in July, to replace Bill Barney, who was unexpectedly ousted by the board in May.
While little explanation was given for Barney's departure, commentators have speculated that it could have to do with the rumored collapse of negotiations between PT Telkom and Pacnet over a potential acquisition of the former by the later.
