Service providers should look for opportunities to increase innovation while lowering cost of service delivery rather than fear being relegated to ‘dumb-pipe’ status, according to a new report by the TM Forum.
The report also finds that service delivery platforms (SDPs) can afford providers the opportunity to open up symbiotic, bi-directional flows of information and innovation with third parties.
The report promises operators from both mature and emerging markets, as well as their partners, knowledge about the full business potential enabled by SDPs.
Titled “Evolving service delivery platforms: Essential plumbing for ‘smart pipes,’” the report is now available to TM Forum members for download.
