Japan's NTT Com and Toshiba have announced a global cloud services alliance, with plans to launch services in Asia from April.
Under the terms of the deal, Toshiba will provide its data center and cloud computing services over NTT Com's Enterprise Cloud.
Toshiba will also provide high-performance storage systems and services for the Enterprise Cloud environment.
The first services to emerge from the partnership are expected to be launched in Asia and North America from April, and expand to Europe some time afterwards.
In future, the companies said they plan to use each others' technologies and services to strengthen their respective cloud businesses.
NTT Com's Enterprise Cloud uses the company's global network, which spans 196 countries and regions and around 150 data centers worldwide.
