Jesper Ovesen, executive chairman of Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN), is leaving the role after just over two years with the firm.
Ovesen is due to leave his role when the sale of Nokia’s handset business to Microsoft is completed – a deal the firms expect to close this quarter - but will continue to act as an advisor to NSN for an unspecified period after that.
Nokia chairman and interim chief executive Risto Siilasmaa says Ovesen’ played a “critical part in building a stronger NSN,” and brought a wealth of “restructuring and change management expertise.”
