Nokia and partner Intel scrapped a joint plan to develop an HSDPA module for notebook computers, a Reuters report said.
The Reuters report quoted Nokia spokeswoman Eija-Riitta Huovinen as saying that 'we have, together with Intel, canceled the HSDPA module cooperation in the form we formerly announced.'
Nokia had announced last September it was working with Intel on the HSDPA module, which would help notebook computer users find the best wireless connections, the report said.
'We are still looking at the HSDPA module case from a technological point of view, but no decisions have been made on commercializing it,' the executive was further quoted as saying.
Huovinen said Nokia would continue cooperating with Intel in other fields, the report added.
