Netflix has tapped Fetch TV to be the first Australian pay-TV provider to integrate the former’s subscription streaming service.

From the Netflix app, Fetch TV subscribers will be able to sign up for the Netflix service through Fetch TV's second-generation box.

Fetch TV provides a 1TB Personal Video Recorder with three digital tuners, a video store in the home with around 4,000 movies, and access to up to 38 subscription channels from major providers.

Fetch TV subscribers also can watch and record free-to-air channels, access catch-up TV services, and use web based apps like YouTube for TV.

Additional access to Fetch TV content is provided through free apps for iOS and Android mobile devices.

Netflix subscribers will pay an additional low monthly fee to access an expanding catalogue of movies and shows, all via a simple click of the Fetch TV remote control.

The partnership between Netflix and Fetch TV also covers the New Zealand market to accommodate Fetch TV's expansion plans.
