Nokia and Siemens Networks and have signed an MoU with NEC to cooperate on W-CDMA radio, continuing the collaboration between NEC and Siemens on W-CDMA through their JV Mobisphere.
Mobisphere is expected to continue as a joint venture of NEC and the future Nokia Siemens Networks after the creation of Nokia Siemens Networks.
The companies also will continue to discuss the possible cooperation beyond 3G areas such as LTE, they said in a statement.
