NEC has launched new indoor LTE femtocell base stations that promise high-speed, high-volume wireless communications in areas such as offices and homes.
The new product will be available in the second quarter in two models, one designed for enterprise and another for residential customers.
NEC specifically designed the RAN-GW (radio access network gateway) systemto ensure a smooth and efficient transition to LTE, and to help carriers reduce their capital investment spending.
The stations automatically control radio wave interference which enables high-speed, high-volume communications environments indoors, even when installed amid different networks such as outdoor LTE base stations.
