NEC has announced plans to consolidate its telecom operations and management systems (TOMS) software and services business under subsidiary NetCracker.
Under the arrangement, NEC will transfer its extensive portfolio of services – including CRM and billing, network management, service assurance monitoring, SDP and mediation – to NetCracker.
The assets are combined worth billions of dollars, NetCracker said.
NEC added that its R&D, delivery, operations, support and maintenance centers will also augment NetCracker's portfolio with a range of service offerings, including turnkey delivery, operations, maintenance and planning.
“NetCracker now has the resources and capabilities that will assist our customers to successfully undertake their business transformations,” NetCracker CEO Andrew Feinberg said.
