KDDI announces top level management changes
Japanese telecoms operator KDDI has announced changes to its top management team. The company has appointed current president and representative director Takashi Tanaka (pictured) as chairman, replacing Tadashi Onodera, who will also step down as a director and take up a new position of advisor (non-executive).
Makoto Takahashi has been promoted to the role of president, while Hirofumi Morozumi will assume the position of vice chairman. Both Takahashi and Morozumi currently serve as executive vice-presidents and representative directors of the company.
Both All of the appointments will take effective on April 1, 2018, KDDI said.
NBN Co names Paul Tyler chief customer officer
NBN Co has hired former Telstra executive Paul Tyler as chief customer officer of its business operations.
Tyler replaces John Simon, who announced his retirement last year. He will report to CEO Bill Morrow and will be a member of the executive committee based in Sydney.
"nbn has benefited greatly from John’s leadership and many contributions over a five year tenure. Over the last seven months, John has built a dedicated business segment team that Paul will now lead to take us to the next level,” said Morrow.
“Paul is a high caliber executive with significant experience and a proven track record. I'm delighted to have him as part of our team and look forward to seeing him drive significant momentum in this vital part of our business.”
Prior to joining NBN Co, Tyler was formerly group managing director of Telstra Business. He will begin his new role at NBN Co on February 19.
NBN Co also revealed that its chief corporate affairs officer Karina Keisler will depart the company in mid-August. Keisler joined NBN Co in 2014 from Vodafone Australia.
NBN Co said it had started a search for Keisler’s replacement.
