Intec is providing Norwich Union, the UK's largest insurer, the billing technology for its Pay As You Drive Insurance offering.
Under the contract, Intec will supply its Convergent Billing (Singl.eView) software, plus associated professional services, to allow Norwich Union to generate itemized monthly bills.
According to Intec, the process of rating and charging for vehicle usage is inherently similar to the billing processes used in telecom, so this deal should allow Norwich Union to deliver sophisticated, itemized bills to customers with an accurate record of charges and how they are incurred.
