(Press Trust of India via NewsEdge) The Indian Space Research Organisation has completed all preparations for the launch of INSAT-4C scheduled between July 10 and 15.
ISRO chairman G Madhavan Nair said the satellite would be launched by an indigenous geosynchronous satellite launch vehicle from Sriharikota spaceport.
"We have moved the vehicle to the launch pad. Except for weather conditions, we are on time for the launch on schedule," Nair said.
Equipped with 12 high-powered Ku-band transponders, the 2,180kg spacecraft is designed for a mission life of 10 years. It is expected to give a boost to direct-to-home television broadcast services.
