Indonesian Cloud, whose cloud services are underpinned by virtualization and cloud computing technology such as VMware vSphere and vCloud Director, has attained VMware vCloud Powered status.
"We sought VMware vCloud Powered validation to offer customers enterprise-class security and infrastructure compatibility, together with the freedom to readily move workloads among private, public, and hybrid clouds," said Reza Kertadjaja, executive vice president, from Indonesian Cloud. "With [our Cloud.Compute service], customers can bypass the risks and uncertainties of commodity public clouds with robust and secure infrastructure services while enabling increased IT agility".
The service will enable companies to fully utilize their current IT infrastructure investments while benefiting from a robust test/development environment and pay-as-you-go infrastructure resources. Cloud.Compute's support of the Open Virtualization Format for virtual machines helps to ensure application portability between internal data centers and external public clouds.
As an enterprise-level member of the VMware Service Provider Program (VSPP), Indonesian Cloud provides a set of cloud computing services across a common platform, supporting existing applications and offering distinctive application mobility available from VMware.
Indonesian Cloud's enterprise-class cloud services span private, dedicated and hybrid clouds to fully virtualized data centers. These services complement its managed services, consulting services, and disaster recovery services.
