TCC Technology (TCCT), Thailand’s leading data center and IT infrastructure service provider, has formed a joint venture with Japanese internet and enterprise cloud service provider Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) to provide full-scale cloud services in Thailand.
The new company, dubbed “Lead Solutions Asia”, is a 60/40 venture between the Thai and Japanese companies with an initial registered capital of 200 million baht ($5.66 million).
An additional 500 million baht has been slated for further investment over next three years, as the JV strives to become a market leader in Thailand’s cloud sector and subsequently drive the country towards becoming the digital hub of the region, the companies said in a statement.
Leap Solutions Asia will provide cloud services for medium-and large-sized enterprises, the public sector, Japanese multinational corporations, and the influx of investors into ASEAN Economic Community.
Leap Solutions Asia chairman Voradis Vinyaratn said the company will be able to provide full-scale services by the second quarter of 2016, covering diverse cloud services.
Leap Solutions Asia plans to offer services on a pay-per-use basis. In the next stage, 'Smart Cloud' services will be offered serving all business types. The services will include Big Data as a Service (BDaaS), Business Process as a Service (BPaaS), and IoT.
“We have a strong determination that our innovation will lead to business transformation and rapid growth for enterprises," Vinyaratn said.
“In 3 years, Leap Solutions Asia will be in the limelight of the cloud market, enhancing business value for enterprises in Thailand and throughout Asia.”
