Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) has received SSAE 16 Type 2 reports in accordance with the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16 (SSAE 16) for its IIJ GIO Virtual Desktop Services and IIJ GIO Unified Operation Management Service
The firm said the services allow the use of Windows virtual desktop environments as a cloud service which comprehensively manages the monitoring and operation of systems anywhere from an on-the-cloud environment to on-premises.
IIJ was the first in the industry, proceeding with preparation in the cloud environment, to receive the SSAE 16 Type 2 reports on its IIJ GIO Component Service in March of 2012 and its IIJ Raptor Service (a SaaS FX system) in March of 2013, the company said.
Its independent auditor has issued the reports for its IIJ GIO Virtual Desktop Services and IIJ GIO Unified Operation Management Service.
The additional reports provide IIJ's customers with more transparency on the controls over the services that IIJ provides them, the company said.
