IBM and Amdocs have formed a global alliance to address the next-generation networks (NGN) transformation needs of telecom service providers.
Under the agreement, the two companies are combining their resources and portfolios to offer solutions that address the challenging business issues involved in such transformations, allowing telecom service providers to better compete amid intensifying convergence, consolidation and competition in the marketplace.
The alliance will result in the rollout of business and technical products that will span and unite service providers' next-generation business support and operations support systems, including customer management, revenue management and service and resource management.
