Hutchison 3 Indonesia has engaged Nokia to improve the customer experience by making more efficient use of its network resources.
The operator has adopted Nokia's AVA cloud-based analytics solution to increase network efficiency on its LTE network.
AVA collects and analyzes performance data from multiple-sources, including minimization of drive test data, a 3GPP feature. It uses machine leaning algorithms developed by Nokia and its Bell Labs research division to analyze this data and identify patterns of usage and network behavior.
Using AVA, Hutchison 3 Indonesia has improved spectral efficiency by 17%. The company is using the tool to proactively identify and resolve network performance issues and prioritize investments in additional capacity.
“We provide high quality 4G data services with particular focus on the millennial across Indonesia,” Hutchison 3 Indonesia CTO Desmond Cheung said.
“We are very pleased that Nokia and their Spectral Performance Management solution, using the latest innovations in AI and machine learning, help us to reduce the latency and increase capacity so that our customers can respond to their mobile games much quicker and enjoy superior video quality."
