Hutch Australia names new CEO

Hutchison Telecommunications Australia said Nigel Dews will replace CEO Kevin Russell in January, a Dow Jones report said.

The Dow Jones report said Dews, who is currently the Sydney-based company's sales, marketing and product director, will replace Russell, who after five years plans to return to the UK to be deputy chief executive of 3G UK.

Before joining Hutchison, Dews was head of John Fairfax Holdings' digital unit and worked as a consultant at McKinsey and Co. and for the Reserve bank of Australia, the Dow Jones report, quoting a company statement, further said.
