Huawei unveiled its newest tablet, the MediaPad, yesterday. The world’s first 7-inch IPS touch-screen tablet runs Google’s Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system and is powered by Qualcomm’s dual-core 1.2-GHz processor.
The entertainment-focused device comes with HDMI output, supports for Flash 10.3 videos, 1080p full HD video playback and features two cameras – a 5 megapixel rear facing camera capable of recording HD video and a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera. Connectivity options include HSPA+, 14.4 Mbps and Wi-Fi 802.11n.
The MediaPad will come pre-installed with Facebook, Twitter and Documents to Go. The device will be available globally in Q3.
