Huawei unveiled a new mobile broadband solution called SingleRAN@Broad at the Mobile World Congress in February.
The solution is meant to address the increase in mobile broadband traffic and reduce the per-bit cost by over 95%.
Huawei estimates that global data traffic on mobile broadband networks will grow 1,000 times over the next decade from the current 85 million gigabytes per month in 2009.
"Huawei' s solution simplif(ies) the network structure and break(s) down the barriers between different standards and technologies," said Wan Biao, president of Huwei's wireless business.
