Hong Kong digital payment company TNG has launched version 2.0 of its TNG Wallet mobile payment service, introducing three new major upgrades.
TNG Wallet 2.0 now supports 27 year-round cash withdrawal hotspots across Hong Kong, in partnership with First International Resources and Unison Foreign Exchange.
TNG’s super VIP members can now withdraw up to HK$50,000 in cash per day from their TNG Wallet by scanning a QR code of the requested amount with their smartphone and entering a transaction PIN at Unison and MTR line-bound First Exchange hotspots.
Another new addition is the TNG Membership program, which uses a three-tier membership structure consisting of normal, VIP or SVIP membership.
Basic membership services include person-to-person money transfer to friends, real-time bill payment, person to merchant payment and receiving payments. Upgraded services include bank transfer and credit card top up, as well as the exclusive cash withdrawal service.
Normal membership is automatically conferred upon installing the app, while VIP membership requires submitting personal details online and SVIP membership requires in-person registration.
The new bank transfer service is the third major addition to TNG Wallet 2.0. The feature allows VIP and SVIP members to transfer the stored value of their TNG Wallet to more than 20 licensed banks without handling fees.
The service has a minimum transfer amount of HK$100 with no limit. Transactions will be settled within one working day at the earliest.
In addition, TNG announced it has expanded TNG Wallet payment functionality to 32 Pricerite outlets in Hong Kong in collaboration with the large furniture chain, and has partnered with charities Mother's Choice and Helping Hand to provide a direct outlet for charitable donations.
This follows the recent agreement to extend TNG Wallet payment functionality with Hong Kong’s major taxi operators.
