The Philippines' Globe Telecom, through its enterprise ICT division Globe Business, has collaborated with the nation's Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to launch the 1-DTI consumer hotline.
The new hotline will provide a connection of Philippines consumers to make complaints, access policy advisory services, and make inquiries with the department.
Globe will offer its prepaid and postpaid customers nationwide the ability to call the hotline for free even with no credit.
“Being a prime enabler of the 1-DTI hotline initiative gives us a sense of achievement and responsibility. This pushes us to strive for excellence and commit to our purpose to help build our nation,” Globe CEO Ernest Cu commented.
Cu said the initiative supports Globe Telecom's drive to instill the importance of eGovernance to government offices.
It has also been designed in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 9, which emphasizes the need for investment in infrastructure and innovation in emerging markets.
