The Philippines' Globe Telecom, through ICT division Globe Business, has entered a new joint venture with TechZone Philippines to provide data center services to local IT gaming enterprises.
TechGlobal Data Center will provide services from TechGlobal's carrier-neutral data center in the Philippines, which is currently being operated and maintained by Globe Telecom's Data Center Operations team.
According to TechGlobal CEO Mike Frausing, the joint venture forms part of Globe Telecom and TechZone’s efforts to address the growing requirements of enterprises that need higher power output and extra layers of security.
“The reason we created TechGlobal is to ensure that, with the understanding and expertise of both TechZone and Globe, we can cater to the end-to-end needs of our online gaming clients,” he said.
“As such, Globe provides the technical expertise to deliver the services coupled with the online gaming expertise coming from Techzone, creating a perfect marriage.”
TechGlobal recently secured ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management system to ensure the facility meets customers' requirements in terms of availability and performance of its data center operations, facilities management, and physical security.
